By volunteering with TAP’s VITA program you will help our families, community, and local businesses. As a VITA volunteer, you will receive FREE income tax preparation and tax law training using IRS software, TaxWise. By volunteering you will be participating in a rewarding community service opportunity, while gaining marketable job skills, volunteer experience, and expanding your resume.
No tax knowledge or experience is needed to volunteer.

Available Volunteer  Opportunities

Intake Screener

               *  Reviews intake forms with clients

   *  Examine Social Security cards, W-2s,    and other forms to ensure all documents are complete and appropriate

               *  Organizes documents for tax preparation

               *  Notifies site supervisor as clients are ready for tax preparation

   Tax Preparer

              * Prepares tax returns, including data   entry and probing to determine status and eligibility for credits.

              * Prepares Only simple tax returns—1040EZ, 1040A, limited 1040s
