Families in Transition

Families in Transition is one of Total Action Against Poverty’s five major components. Families in Transition programs include the Women’s Resource Center, the Transitional Living Center, TAP Virginia CARES, and Fatherhood & Families. The Families in Transition director is Ellen Brown.

Women's Resource Center: Domestic violence services.

Transitional Living Center: Housing and supportive services for homeless families & individuals.

Virginia CARES: Pre-release and post-incarceration services for ex-offenders.

Fatherhood & Families: Fatherhood and employment development services to help non-custodial fathers get involved and stay involved in the lives of their children.
