A program designed to stimulate first generation college-bound students through information and encouragement. Activities include cultural workshops, guidance in class selection, SOL and SAT preparatory classes, workshops in both financial aid and college life, and college campus tours.

SAT fee waivers, college fee waivers, and Project Discovery scholarship opportunities are available, as well as assistance with other qualifying scholarships. Project Discovery’s curriculum offers students a place to define and build their character and their self-esteem through supportive relationships established with one another and their Program Specialist. Services are provided to middle and high school students in the Fifth Planning District. Offices are located in Roanoke and Covington.
