Certified Nursing Assistant Program
The Certified Nursing Assistant program trains individuals in this high-demand healthcare profession. TAP is dedicated to producing well-trained CNAs to meet the growing community need for healthcare workers. The CNA training program provides seven weeks of extensive training, which includes:
- State-approved 120-hour course
- Minimum of 40 hours dedicated to clinical training
- State-licensed nurse instructors (trained in adult education)
- Clinical hands-on experience
- Preparation and payment for the Certified Nursing Examination
Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no cost to students; instruction, books and a stethoscope are provided by TAP. To be eligible for enrollment, an individual must:
- Complete an application/interview
- Be at least 17 years old or older
- Be of good character
- Complete an Aptitude and Career Assessment
- Be a United State citizen and resident of Virginia
- Meet income requirements
