Certified Nursing Assistant  Program

The Certified Nursing Assistant program trains individuals in this high-demand healthcare profession. TAP is dedicated to producing well-trained CNAs to meet the growing community need for healthcare workers. The CNA training program provides seven weeks of extensive training, which includes:

  • State-approved 120-hour course
  • Minimum of 40 hours dedicated to clinical training
  • State-licensed nurse instructors (trained in adult education)
  • Clinical hands-on experience
  • Preparation and payment for the Certified Nursing Examination

Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no cost to students; instruction, books and a stethoscope are provided by TAP. To be eligible for enrollment, an individual must:

  • Complete an application/interview
  • Be at least 17 years old or older
  • Be of good character
  • Complete an Aptitude and Career Assessment
  • Be a United State citizen and resident of Virginia
  • Meet income requirements
