The Youth Build program provide skills training for the construction trades. Youth Build students have renovated 16 public housing units, built 3 homes and participated in numerous community service projects.  Community service projects have included renovating playgrounds, weatherizing homes, landscaping and painting a floor at an education center.  Prior to enrollment, students must complete mental toughness training.  Once enrolled, students receive basic education training leading to a GED and learn a construction skill while renovating property or building a home.  Students are paid while enrolled. One must be 16-24 years of age to enroll in the program.  Contact TAP This Valley Works YouthBuild at 540-767-6029 or napoleon.bailey@education.edu for more information.
