TAP Partners with Virginia Western Community College

TAP is working with Virginia Western Community College (VWCC) to recruit individuals for the VWCC Quick Connect program.  Quick Connect is a 6-week intensive training program to prepare individuals for entry-level positions as Computer Production Technicians, Extruder Operators, Machine Operators, Pultrusion Inspectors, Shipper/Packer/Material Handlers, and Operations Mechanics.  In most cases, pay ranges from $10 to $12 per hour.

One of TAP’s referrals, Yvette Jones, was featured in the Virginia Western Educational Foundation Alumni & Friends News, Vol. 1, Issue 2.  (click her to read pdf article) After completing the training, Yvette obtained employment at Novozymes Biologicals, Inc.
