Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Program

TAP Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Program (TSVSEP) is pleased to announce a new name for the visitation center. The new name for TSVSEP will be Sabrina’s Place, named in memory and honor of Sabrina Reed who was brutally shot and killed by her husband, Robert Reed, during the exchange of their daughter in September 2005.

Like many other domestic violence victims in the United States, Sabrina and Robert Reed attempted unsupervised visits and exchanges of their daughter. Unsupervised visits and exchanges provide a batterer with access to the victims and present an opportunity for inflicting further violence, power and control.

Sabrina’s situation, among other victims who struggle to leave abusive relationships, requires services that provide protection from the abuser.  The children also need protection from the trauma of witnessing and/or experiencing abuse.

Preventing violence during custodial exchanges and supervised visits, improving the range and accessibility of services domestic violence victims receive, and increasing offender accountability are TSVSEP’s primary goals. We are pleased to honor Sabrina Reed and other domestic violence victims whose lives have been abruptly taken. We do this by renaming TSVSEP, Sabrina’s Place.
