Total Action Against Poverty (TAP) is a non-profit community action agency. For 43 years TAP has been helping the residents of 11 cities and counties in southwestern Virginia to escape poverty and become self-sufficient. Our mission is to encourage self-reliance and self-determination by strengthening and empowering individuals, families and communities and to mobilize the community’s good will and resources, expand access to existing opportunities and create new opportunities.
