HCD | Housing Choice Voucher Program

The TAP Roanoke County Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) is a tenant based rental subsidy program that assists eligible low income families in renting safe and decent affordable housing through supplemental rental funds.  TAP Roanoke County HCV Program operates through funding provide to TAP by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Participants will pay no more than 30% (not to exceed 40%) of their income in rent towards housing.  TAP currently administer 83 vouchers in proper bedroom size; the unit selected is within the Fair Market Rent (FMR), Inspection (HQS) set by HUD.
